... direct engraving with flexoPOWER

Stork offers with its new direct engraving systems high- end functionality, setting a new engraving standard for simple workflow, quality and productivity for labels and packaging.

Active 3D-RIP
One of the reasons for the excellent engraving quality is the Active 3D-RIP; a RIP-system which allows on the fly rasterizing and 3D-dotshaping. The 3D-dotshaping with the Active 3D-RIP makes it possible to set a 3D-dotshape for the smallest dot and a different 3D-dotshape for the bigger dots (both with operator controlled parameters) in order to reach highest quality and custom settings for optimal printing.

Software workflow
All Stork direct laser engraving systems are supplied with the flexo Power software. This software contains several parts which results in an easy to use system that allows a perfect reproducibility of the highest quality for every application: flexo (sleeves and plates), letterpress, dry offset, screen-printing (RotaMesh and RotaPlate), intaglio as well as gravure. The software allows the import of 1-bit and 8-bit Tiff-files as well as PDF. The various tools in the software make it possible to check the file quickly in detail before sending it to the engraving system. An integrated database makes that setting up the engraving system can be done with just one mouse click.

Job Editor

The Job Editor is a tool in the FlexoPOWER software that optimizes the production of plates over the Stork direct engraving systems. The Job Editor can be used to set up different engraving jobs (for instance different colours), which can be engraved in one engraving sequence, at a CAD-station in order to get optimal usage of the engraving unit.
